Talk, Walk & Learn Center, LLC/SHIFTS Night Care Center, LLC specialty childcare services started with a question- Q: What do I know how to do? The answer-A: I have always worked with parents and their children in various ages, 0-18 years, and the community. The confirmation to that answer was on my resume on the dining room table. I had questions asked, yet unknown and above all, a willingness to challenge for answers.
There are many things to be learned in starting your own business, the foundational two are:
- The ‘-ologies’- sociology, psychology, anthropology and archeology
- The ‘others’- mathematics, logic, statistics, computer science, some social work, humanities, etc.
Don’t ever take business lightly when wanting to start your own. Get an understanding of people before, during and after your dealings with them. I got the bruising, bumps, scrapes, the ‘stretch marks’ of business growth that opens eyes beyond what any profit could. These and more are seen as continuances when in business for self.
